IBC Alt Hack Vizag proudly commenced at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College Of Engineering (A) (GVPCE) from 16th December to 23rd of December 2022. The event was packed with students and they benefited greatly from the on-demand Web3 Bootcamp. It helped students to migrate seamlessly from Web 2 to Web 3.0. The value-inputted IBC Alt Hack Vizag had a mix of online sessions as well.
Prominent industry leaders and mentors shared their valuable insights and far-gaining knowledge via detailed sessions. Topics like “Fundamentals & Introduction to Blockchain’’, and “How to become a Web3 Developer, “Blockchain Platform Landscape’’, “Polkadot architecture & Polkadot Functional Ecosystem” were all covered in these programs.
The whole crux of the hackathon can be deduced from Dr. Y. Anuradha’s words, Associate head, CSE, GVPCE.
“ This program basically concentrates on training the students on Blockchain and Web3 technologies and initiating them to take over the business problems. “
The impactful and value-driven sessions deserved great appreciation. Renowned speakers of the likes of Urban Osvald, Dr. Prakash Kamaraj, Praveen Thakur, Tushar Ojha, Yoseph Kurnia Soenggoro, Philip Nanmann, Sneha Bharati, Varun Gyanchandani, Pruthvi Raj, and Priyeshu Garg conducted online sessions on various aspects of Blockchain and Web3 technologies.
Praveen Thakur from IBC media in his session gave a brief introduction to blockchain and its journey so far. Tushar Ojha from Subsocial has explained to students how to become industry-ready Web3 developer. Philip Naumann from Moralis made his presentation on Blockchain Technology architecture and distributed databases.
In terms of student participation, there was a massive response. There were 815 registrations, 320 On-ground participants, and 3887 Online participants, out of which 2058 Web3 ideas were generated, 15 were shortlisted, and 3 were awarded by IBC Media.
